Academic Work
While studying Creative Communications at RRC Polytech, I gained the necessary skills to thrive in the communications industry. I learned how to write and edit at a professional level, focusing on storytelling. I’ve also learned how to tailor messages to a desired audience and to create compelling content across numerous platforms.
I specialized in public relations, which allowed me to understand how to effectively manage and distribute communications in a fast-paced environment. However, I also developed skills in the media production and digital media design world, which I enjoyed greatly. Overall, this program provided me with critical thinking and creativity skills that I’ll forever be grateful for.
Industry Work
Though my industry experience is still growing, I’ve had the opportunity to intern and work with some reputable organizations, such as the City of Winnipeg, Filmore Riley LLP, River East Royal Knights, and NHL.Discussion. At these workplaces, I’ve created content, managed and distributed communications, and played a role in media relations.
To put this simply, I am eager to expand on my industry experience and continue to enhance my skills in the communications field. With this foundation I’ve built, I am excited to take on more challenges and diverse projects.
